2. Participant Responsibilities

All participants must accurately represent their physical fitness level, medical conditions, and outdoor experience during registration. You are responsible for ensuring you meet the minimum fitness requirements for your chosen program and for disclosing any health conditions that may affect your ability to safely participate in outdoor activities.

Participants must follow all safety instructions provided by guides and instructors, use provided safety equipment correctly, and report any equipment malfunction or safety concerns immediately. Failure to comply with safety protocols may result in removal from the program without refund.

You agree to respect natural environments, follow Leave No Trace principles, and comply with all applicable park regulations and environmental protection guidelines during expeditions.

3. Safety and Risk Acknowledgment

Outdoor adventure activities involve inherent risks including but not limited to physical injury, extreme weather conditions, equipment failure, and environmental hazards. While we implement comprehensive safety protocols and employ qualified guides, we cannot eliminate all risks associated with wilderness activities.

By participating, you acknowledge understanding these risks and accept personal responsibility for your safety. You confirm that you are physically and mentally capable of undertaking the chosen activities and have consulted with medical professionals regarding any health concerns.

Emergency medical services may be delayed in remote wilderness locations. You understand that evacuation from remote areas may take considerable time and agree to follow all emergency procedures as directed by guides and emergency personnel.

4. Cancellation and Modification Policy

PowerOutdoor Life reserves the right to cancel, postpone, or modify any program due to weather conditions, safety concerns, insufficient enrollment, or circumstances beyond our control. In such cases, we will offer alternative dates, program substitution, or appropriate resolution.

Participants must provide advance notice for cancellations as specified in their program registration materials. Cancellation terms vary by program type and are detailed in the specific program documentation provided at enrollment.

We reserve the right to remove any participant whose behavior poses safety risks to themselves, other participants, guides, or the environment. Such removal will be without compensation.

5. Equipment and Personal Property

PowerOutdoor Life provides specified safety equipment and technical gear as outlined in program descriptions. Participants are responsible for personal items including appropriate clothing, footwear, and personal supplies as detailed in pre-program equipment lists.

All provided equipment must be used properly and returned in reasonable condition accounting for normal wear from program activities. Participants are responsible for costs associated with lost or damaged equipment due to negligence or misuse.

We are not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to personal property during programs. Participants are encouraged to secure appropriate insurance coverage for valuable personal items.

6. Photography and Media Usage

During programs, photographs and video footage may be captured for documentation, promotional materials, and marketing purposes. By participating, you grant PowerOutdoor Life permission to use images and video containing your likeness in promotional materials, website content, and marketing communications.

If you do not wish to be photographed or have your image used in promotional materials, you must inform program staff in writing prior to program commencement. We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate such requests while maintaining program documentation requirements.

7. Code of Conduct

Participants are expected to treat guides, staff, fellow participants, and local communities with respect and courtesy. Discriminatory behavior, harassment, or actions that create unsafe or uncomfortable environments for others will not be tolerated.

Alcohol and illegal substances are strictly prohibited during all program activities. Participants found in violation will be immediately removed from the program without compensation.

Environmental respect is mandatory. Participants must follow Leave No Trace principles, properly dispose of waste, respect wildlife, and minimize impact on natural environments and cultural sites.

8. Limitation of Liability

PowerOutdoor Life, its officers, guides, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from participation in our programs, including but not limited to personal injury, property damage, or financial loss.

Our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by applicable Australian law. This limitation applies whether the alleged liability is based on contract, tort, negligence, strict liability, or any other basis.

Participants are strongly encouraged to obtain comprehensive travel and activity insurance covering medical expenses, evacuation, trip cancellation, and personal liability.

In the event of medical emergency, PowerOutdoor Life staff are authorized to arrange necessary medical treatment and emergency evacuation. Participants are responsible for all medical costs, evacuation expenses, and related charges not covered by personal insurance.

10. Intellectual Property

All content, program designs, training materials, route information, and proprietary methods used in PowerOutdoor Life programs are protected by intellectual property rights. Program routes, training methodologies, and operational procedures are confidential business information and may not be shared with competing organizations or used for commercial purposes.
